Meeting preparation lets you tell Meetfy about the person you're about to meet before the conversation even starts. The live coach then uses that context automatically, so its tips are relevant to that specific relationship, not just the conversation in general.
What you can capture
- Basic details about the person: name, role, and an optional link for reference.
- Whether they're a VIP contact who needs extra care.
- Their typical behaviour or communication style.
- Positive and negative trigger points. The topics that tend to go well or poorly with this person.
- Your goals for the meeting.
- A checklist of points you want to make sure you cover.
- Objections you expect, along with the response you plan to give.
See Preparing for a meeting and Setting goals, triggers and objections.
How it shapes the live coach
Once you've prepared a meeting, the coach reads that context the moment the session starts:
- If the conversation drifts toward a negative trigger, the coach warns you immediately, so you can steer carefully.
- If it touches a positive trigger, the coach flags it as a good moment to lean in.
- The coach tracks whether you're making progress toward your stated goal.
- Near the end of the conversation, it lets you know if any checklist item hasn't been covered yet.
- If a listed objection comes up, the coach can surface the response you already prepared for it.
After the meeting
Your preparation also shapes the coaching analysis afterward, it references whether your goal was reached, which triggers came up, and which checklist items were left uncovered. See Reviewing your coaching analysis.
Good to know
- Preparation is entirely optional. The coaching works fine without it, just without the extra context.
- You can prepare for a booked meeting or for a conversation with no booking at all.
- Meetfy can also suggest a starting point based on previous meetings with the same person. See Getting prep suggestions from past meetings.
