Setting goals, triggers and objections

Beyond basic contact details, meeting preparation lets you set specific things for the coach to actively watch for during the conversation.

What you can add

  1. Goal : what you want to achieve in this meeting. The coach tracks whether the conversation is moving toward it.
  2. Positive triggers : topics or moments that tend to go well with this person. The coach flags these as good opportunities when they come up.
  3. Negative triggers : topics that have caused friction before. The coach warns you immediately if the conversation heads that way.
  4. Checklist : specific points you want to make sure you cover. The coach lets you know near the end if anything is still missing.
  5. Objections and responses : objections you expect, paired with the response you've already prepared. If the objection comes up, the coach can surface your planned response.

Add these to a meeting

  1. Open the meeting's preparation screen (see Preparing for a meeting).
  2. Fill in your goal, add triggers as short tags, build your checklist, and pair up any expected objections with your responses.
  3. Save, this takes effect the next time you start coaching for this meeting.

Good to know

  • None of these fields are required. Add only what's useful for this particular conversation.
  • The more specific your triggers and objections, the more precisely the coach can recognize them in the conversation.
  • All of this also feeds into the coaching analysis afterward, so you can see how the conversation actually went against what you planned.
