Some conversations benefit from frequent guidance, others from a lighter touch. You can control how often the coach checks in and sends a tip.
Available options
- Low: fewer, more considered tips, spaced further apart.
- Medium: a balanced default that fits most conversations.
- High: frequent check-ins, for when you want active, close guidance.
- Custom: pick an exact interval yourself, from 30 to 180 seconds.
Set your tip frequency
- When starting a coaching session, find the tip-frequency control below the template picker.
- Choose Low, Medium or High, or select Custom.
- If you choose Custom, a seconds picker appears, so you can select the exact interval you want.
- Start the session; the coach follows this cadence for the rest of the session.
Good to know
- Some templates set a sensible default for you: for example, Listening mode defaults to Low, since it's built around rare, high-value prompts. See Using listening mode. You can still override it.
- This setting only affects how often the coach checks in; it doesn't affect whether tips are shown on screen or spoken aloud. See Hearing tips in your headphones.
- Choosing a shorter custom interval means more frequent, more granular tips; a longer one means fewer interruptions.
