# Starting coaching for a meeting

The most common way to use coaching is directly from a meeting you already have booked, so the coach has the meeting's context from the start.

## Start coaching

1. Open the meeting from your Meetings tab.
2. Tap Start coaching.
3. Choose a template that fits the conversation, or keep the default. See [Choosing a coaching template](https://www.meetfy.ai/en/helpcenter/coaching/choosing-a-coaching-template).
4. Confirm to begin. Meetfy starts listening and the first tips will appear as the conversation develops.
5. When the meeting ends, tap Stop to end the session.

## Good to know

- If you prepared for this meeting beforehand, the coach automatically uses that preparation to tailor its tips. See [Preparing for a meeting](https://www.meetfy.ai/en/helpcenter/meeting-preparations/preparing-for-a-meeting).
- You can also record the meeting's audio for your archive at the same time as coaching, both run independently. See [Recording and coaching at the same time](recording-and-coaching-at-the-same-time).

## Troubleshooting

- **Session won't start** : Check your credit balance — coaching needs at least a small amount of credit to begin. See [Buying credits](https://www.meetfy.ai/en/helpcenter/credits-and-billing/buying-credits).
