# Adding a note to a photo

A quick note next to a photo makes it far more useful when you look back at it later, without one, a photo of a whiteboard can be hard to place weeks after the meeting.

## Add a note when you take the photo

1. After taking a photo, you'll see a short review screen.
2. Type a note (up to 100 characters) describing what the photo shows.
3. Confirm to upload the photo with your note attached.

## Edit a note later

1. Open the Recordings tab and select the Photos section.
2. Tap the photo you want to update.
3. Edit the note and save your change.

## Good to know

- Adding a note is optional because you can upload a photo without one and add a note later, or leave it blank.
- A short, specific note works best: what's in the photo, or why it matters, rather than a long description.
